Not in the habit of ever laying money on a driver to win a race accept for the occasional Formula One race. I am making an exception tonight. Of course anything can happen with potential mechanical issues or getting caught up in a wreck. With that stated, Rowdy has won here on the Xfinity circuit 8 times throughout the years. His last being in 2015. During the past he has shown his consistent ability to work through the Field and give himself a shot at the victory, this is especially true in Xfinity. He lost a heartbreaking battle to Chase Briscoe at Darlington last week. In the past 2 years at this race he is one of two drivers in the Field tonight to lead the race, and he lead nearly a quarter of those laps. The other driver is Brandon Jones who led 22 laps.
I simply feel like this is a great spot for Kyle. Anything can happen and I am not thrilled about laying juice. I may not make the same decision had we not been in a Pandemic and deprived of sports for two months. Nonetheless, I feel good about the play.
